Hello All Cadets! It’s that time of year – time for fitness testing!
Due to the circumstances affecting in-person training the fitness assessment will be up to you to do on your own time, at home or in a park, where ever works best for you.
The purpose of the Cadet Fitness Assessment and Incentive Program is:
a. to provide accurate and reliable information about a cadet’s personal fitness;
b. to promote regular, enjoyable physical activity for cadets so they can reach and maintain a level of personal fitness that will contribute to good health and wellbeing;
c. to help leaders determine cadet needs and guide cadets in planning personalized physical activity programs; and,
d. to recognize cadets for establishing physical activity behaviours that will lead to fitness development
a. pylons or similar markers x 2
b. device for playing Youtube video and audio files
c. paper & pencil for recording results
d. gym mat (or soft surface or carpet)
e. 30cm ruler
f. heavy object to secure ruler in place
Do your best, don’t worry if some parts are a little harder than others. The point of testing is to see where you’re at now and to work toward a goal.
