The Squadron Sponsoring Committee (“SSC” or Parent Committee), is a non-profit charitable organization that is responsible for providing financial and other necessary support to the 604 ‘Moose’ Air Cadet Program and to assist its Commanding Officer in the performance of their duties.
The SSC helps with introducing interested young people to 604 and assisting the Military in selecting new Commanding Officers when there is a change of command.
The Squadron Sponsoring Committee is made up of parent volunteers who are interested in furthering the aims of the Squadron. It performs its duties through a Volunteer Executive Committee and volunteer subcommittees.
The Air Cadet League of Canada, which is a major promoter and advocate of the Air Cadet Movement in Canada, oversees the activities of the Squadron Sponsoring Committee.
